Introduction

This collection features a variety of wooden furniture that I designed together with Christopher Kötting as we explored the material possibilities during our studies.

TORII was one of these projects. A table, which incorporates traditional Japanese woodworking aesthetics. Its design incorporates the symbolism of the "Kasuga Torii," the traditional entrance gate of Japanese shrines.

The table won a competition on the German Design Graduates platform and was selected as the base exhibition space.

Experiments

Another notable project was "Boardstory," created in collaboration with the Geckeler & Michels studio. The task was to create stools using plates as the base component of the design. Two stools emerged from this process: "Dalahästs" and "Nut."

Dalahästs design was inspired by classic Swedish wooden horses and focused on multifunctionality and stackability. In contrast, Nut quotes traditional molded wood parts and radiates a certain lightness despite its thick wooden panels.
